Between Earth and Heaven

One of Lautner’s grandest designs rose above Acapulco Bay in Mexico, where in 1973 the architect built a 25,000-square-foot home that seemed to float above the water. The Arango residence, also called Marbrisa, included an expansive open-air terrace with bedrooms on the level below. - I.D. Magazine

“Between Earth and Heaven: The Architecture of John Lautner” will be on show at L.A.’s Hammer Museum through October 12.

Anybody wanna go w/ me?

Parisian Inspiration

Street-style in Paris is always a source of inspiration for me. Something about the Parisian aesthetic toward fashion makes me feel electric, excited, happy.

The girls, in particular, never fail to keep it interesting without coming off contrived or costume-y (something that I find can be difficult to do for most, but innate in the French). I think these 4 photos speak it best:

Cerrone - Give Me Love

It's good ol' Friday, and that means I'm sharing a song from my personal collection.

Cerrone's "Give Me Love" is one of those disco songs long forgotten. I love the way it makes me feel... it's just some goodness I'm sending your way.

This particular clip is from a French music show in the late 70's... very fun stuff!

Graffiti Art

I totally lost the name of this artist, and I don't even remember where I first saw it. As an informative blog, this is a big no-no on my part. Sorry.

In any case, I'm just sharing.
