Lisa Leslie (born July 7, 1972 in Gardena, California) is an American retired professional womens basketball player. One of the original WNBA players, she quickly rose to stardom as one of the league's most top-performing and popular players. On July 30, 2002 she made history by becoming the first player to perform a dunk in that league.

High school and College

Leslie became a famous basketball player long before her career in the WNBA began. She was quite tall even in her youth, already standing six foot tall when she started playing basketball in the seventh grade. She was a dominating player made legendary by scoring 101 points in the first half of a high school basketball game, and would have broken Cheryl Miller's high school record of 105 points if the other team had not forfeited at halftime. Among her many accolades at Morningside High School in Inglewood, California, Leslie was named the 1990 Gatorade Girls Basketball National Player of the Year, and received the Dial Award for female American high-school athlete/scholar of the year in 1989.

After high school, Lisa Leslie attended the University of Southern California. She was a four time All-Pacific Ten Conference first team selection.

Anna Djambulilovna Chakvetadze (Russian: Анна Джамбулиловна Чакветадзе; born March 5, 1987) is a Russian professional tennis player (with Georgian roots[1]). On September 10, 2007, she reached her career-high professional singles ranking of World No. 5. She has won seven WTA Singles Titles. As of January 3 2010, she is ranked World No. 67.

She began playing tennis at the age of eight after being introduced to the sport by her mother, Natalia. She travels for tournaments with her father. She speaks both Russian and English.

szavay earning her stripes fila collezione’s spring

As Fila‘s new face, Hungarian Agnes Szavay is doing her best to get the most on-court time for her clothing. She tripped up in the season’s Australian swing (losing back-to-back first round matches at Gold Coast and Melbourne), but rebounded quite well this week, beating Hantuchova and Dementieva before losing to Anna Chakvetadze in the Open Gaz de France finals.

German Girls Photos

It’s time for the 2nd Annual Oktoberfest Celebration at North 45. The party will be Friday, Oct 3rd and Saturday, Oct 4th. Doors open at 12 noon both days.
